To ensure your files are printed correctly and to avoid any delays, please take the time to ensure you follow these simple steps when creating your press-ready PDFs.

If you have any questions or are unsure of some of the below steps, please don’t hesitate to call us on by phone on 0413 117 459 or email: sales@iprintmedia.com.au. We are more than happy to help!

  • All photos and images need to be 300dpi (300 dots per inch).
  • Avoid using JPEG compression. Use ZIP or no compression for best results.
  • All colours must be in CMYK (no PMS, RGB, LAB etc.) The only exception to this rule is if you are ordering a Spot White on a sticker, kisscut or diecut to shape. In that case, you will need to make sure you create a spot colour according to the instructions below.
  • Please ensure that you do not save your PDF with ICC profiles embedded.
  • All fonts MUST be converted to outlines (embedded).
  • Please include crop marks and 3mm bleed.

  • Select the elements of your design to be in Spot White.
  • Create a new swatch in your swatches panel.
  • Change the spot name to spot white, the colour type to spot colour.
  • Leave the colours in CMYK and set to C: 70%, M: 0%, Y: 41%, K: 0%.
  • Save your file as a PDF with bleed and no colour conversion in the Output Option.
  • Create a new swatch in your swatches panel.
  • Change the spot name to kisscut or diecut, the colour type to spot colour.
  • Leave the colours in CMYK and set to C: 0%, M: 0%, Y: 0%, K: 0%.
  • Create a 1pt keyline of either kisscut or diecut and send to the back.
  • Save your file as a PDF with bleed and no colour conversion in the Output Option.
  • Something to keep in mind is that if you order Gloss or Matt cello 1 sided, the cello will be applied to the front (or the first page of your PDF).
  • For all double-sided jobs, we require the artwork to be set up with front and back files combined into one PDF (where first page is the front and second page is the back.)
  • Also if you are ordering a job with multiple variations, please supply us with 1 PDF per variation.
  • To achieve a rich black on solid areas of your artwork, we recommend the breakdown of Cyan 40% Magenta 40% Yellow 40% and Black 100%. For text and fine lines, please just use 100% Black.
  • Templates will be required to design Presentation Folders and helpful with other products, please email sales@iprintmedia.com.au with your request and the format you want the Templates in.
